Public Exhibition - Draft Grants and Donations Policy
Update
At its meeting held on 23 September, Council resolved to adopt the Grants and Donations Policy.
Background
Georges River Council is exhibiting the Draft Grants and Donations Policy from 31 July 2023 – 27 August 2023. The Draft Grants and Donations Policy intends to supersede the existing Grants, Donations and Sponsorship Policy (2020). The Grants, Donations and Sponsorship Policy was open for feedback 9 – 30 March 2023. The Draft Sponsorship Policy is also currently on exhibition for community feedback.
The Draft Grants and Donations Policy guides the application process, allocation and evaluation of funding to address community needs under Section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993. Our Grants and Donations programs support initiatives and projects that build the social, cultural, environmental and economic life of the area. Through these programs, Council partners with the community and businesses to further the actions, strategic directions and vision of Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
How to be involved
Community feedback is essential in helping guide us in our decision-making process. Your feedback will influence the choices we make when developing our plans and ensure we are on the right path to achieving and managing our community's overall vision. Georges River Council invites you to share your feedback on the Draft Grants and Donations Policy to inform the policy review:
