Project update

The Carss Park draft Master Plan and preliminary draft Plan of Management process is underway. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the consultation period in late 2023.

We received over 200 submissions from our community, which has guided our decision making for these Plans. While we continue to prepare the supporting documentation to deliver these Plans, we'll keep this page updated with project milestones.

We look forward to bringing the draft Master Plan and Plan of Management back to you in late 2024, with further opportunity for comments and feedback.

Background

Together with insight and feedback from our community, we are planning for the future of Carss Bush Park and Todd Park. We are updating the Master Plan and Plan of Management (PoM) for the subject area.

As part of the preliminary consultation, Council is seeking feedback from the community on how they currently use Carss Bush Park and Todd Park to help reach inclusive and community-driven decisions on the future of the space.

Prior to Council amalgamation in 2016, these Parks were managed by the former Kogarah Council. The new Master Plan and PoM will consolidate and update a series of older PoM documents into one Master Plan and PoM and in accordance with the legislative requirements of the Local Government Act, 1993 (LG Act) and Crown Land Management Act, 2016 (CLM Act).
