Royal spoonbill (Platalea regia)
The Royal Spoonbill is spectacular and distinctive bird. The species uses it platypus-looking bill to find small fish, shrimps and crustaceans in shallow water. Its bill has many vibration detectors, called papillae, which help it find prey in murky waters.
