The Red Fox (Vulpes Vulpes) is a pest species that is has been recorded in almost all survey reserved across the LGA. The red fox was introduced into Australia in the 1870s for recreational hunting and is now prevalent across all states and territories except Tasmania. The red fox is responsible for the extinction of numerous native Australian species. Predation by the red fox is a ‘key threatening process’.
