Consultation has concluded

Georges River Council would like to work with the community to explore opportunities to make the Beverly Hills Town Centre a better place to live, work and visit.

The first step towards revitalising this important local centre will be the creation of a vision which has now been identified as a priority for Council.

The Beverly Hills Town Centre is an important place for many residents and business owners who live and work in the area. There is an opportunity to enhance the vibrancy and liveability of the centre and its immediate surroundings, and improve the quality, accessibility and amenity of the public domain.

We would like to hear from the local community to help us build a vision for the Beverly Hills Town Centre. This vision will ensure that any future development meets the needs and expectations of local residents, business owners, landowners and other important stakeholders.

Community engagement will commence shortly. We will be seeking your thoughts on what works well in the Beverly Hills Town Centre and what could be improved. We want to know what you would like your local centre to look and feel like in the future.

If you would like to help us shape the vision for the Beverly Hills Town Centre, please visit www.georgesriver.nsw.gov.au/Council/Have-Your-Say or call Council’s Administration Officer in Strategic Planning, on 9330 9472 to register your interest. If you would like to be involved in the upcoming engagement activities, you must register your interest by 24 August 2018.

Creating a vision is the first step in a longer process to future proof the Beverly Hills Town Centre. We will continue to involve the community by seeking your feedback at key stages in this process, including the development of a Masterplan.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Georges River Council is working with the community to explore opportunities to make the Beverly Hills Town Centre a better place to live, work and visit. The Beverly Hills Town Centre is an important place for many residents and business owners who live and work in the area. Through the preparation of a Masterplan, there is an opportunity to enhance the vibrancy and liveability of the centre and its immediate surroundings, and improve the quality, accessibility and amenity of the public spaces.

The Masterplan is split into two phases. Phase 1 involves the development of a vision for the future of the Centre through community engagement and an analysis of the opportunities and constraints to development in the study area. Phase 2 involves the preparation of a Masterplan that will recommend a future development strategy for the area.

A report on the progress of the Beverly Hills Masterplan was presented to the Environment and Planning Committee (E & P) meeting held on Monday 8 April 2019.

The report presents the findings of Phase 1 of the Beverly Hills Masterplan, which was completed in March 2019. The outcomes of Phase 1 include the engagement summary report and the following technical reports: the community engagement report, a planning review, an urban design analysis, an economic feasibility study and a transport and accessibility assessment. These reports investigate the opportunities and constraints to development within the study area and provide recommendations and further guidance for the preparation of the Masterplan in Phase 2. The Council report and technical reports are available in the document library on this page.

Phase 2 of the Masterplan is underway. Council's Environment and Planning Committee Meeting on Monday 11 May 2020 will be considering a report on the exhibition of the Beverly Hills Masterplan. The report can be found in the document library of this page or on Council’s website at: https://infoweb.georgesriver.nsw.gov.au/grinfocouncil/Open/2020/05/ENV_11052020_AGN_AT_WEB.htm

We will continue to involve the community by seeking your feedback at key stages in the development of the Masterplan.

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you in Stage 2 of the Masterplan.
