Who Can Join the YAC?
Age: 12-24 years old
Connection to the Georges River Council local area
What YAC Members Do:
Advise Council on youth-related issues
Represent young people in the community
Participate in Council's decision-making processes
Help plan and deliver youth events and initiatives

Case Study: GRYFest - Your Ideas in Action Imagine being part of a team that shapes one of the biggest youth events in Georges River.
The Challenge: How do you design events that are fun, engaging, and meaningful for such a diverse youth population?
The Result: Thanks to YAC input, GRYFest 2024 was a huge success, featuring: - A youth music competition showcasing local talent - An action-packed festival at Olds Park with bubble soccer and skate workshops - An intergenerational chess competition
The Impact: By being part of YAC and contributing to GRYFest, you would: - Directly influence a major community event - Gain practical experience in event planning and management - Develop leadership and teamwork skills - Make connections with Council staff and community leaders - Create opportunities for your peers to showcase their talents.
