September Update: Council is exhibiting the draft Stuart Park Spatial Framework

The draft Spatial Framework is now on public exhibition from 6 October to 13 November. During this time, you are invited to view the plans and provide feedback before it is finalised.

About the draft Spatial Framework

The draft Spatial Framework for Stuart Park will guide future management, planning and improvements for the space. It has been informed by earlier community consultation, along with technical assessment and investigation.

Earlier Consultation

From August to September 2026, we asked community for initial feedback on Stuart Park. Thank you to everyone who shared feedback.

Key feedback we received included support for improved pathways, seating, recreation facilities and a new fitness station, along with concerns about accessibility, drainage, park maintenance, fencing and parking. Residents also provided suggestions for playground improvements, informal soccer opportunities and the removal of the underutilised cricket nets.

About the Stuart Park

Stuart Park is a local park. It’s surrounded by Stuart Street and Orana Crescent. Nearby streets include Aveling Street, Joseph Street, Centre Street, and James Street.

The park has open space, tall trees, and fun facilities for the community. These include a playground, an amenity building, a basketball court, a soccer goal, and cricket nets.

We would like to know what you think of the draft Spatial Framework. You are invited to provide feedback for Council to consider before it is finalised. The Stuart Park Spatial Framework consultation is open for feedback until 13 November 2026.
