Riverwood Local Centre Master Plan
Riverwood is one of seven Local Centres within Georges River Local Government Area (LGA). It plays a key role in shaping the future of our LGA.
The Riverwood Local Centre Master Plan will guide the gradual long-term growth of the area. The Plan aims to balance housing, employment opportunities, and public space improvements in the next 10 to 20 years.
The Plan will help to diversify housing options and support affordable housing in Riverwood. It will also help to improve access to services, public spaces, and transport. It will ensure growth is coordinated, attractive, and reflects the community’s vision and values.

Riverwood Local Study area
The Master Plan focuses on the area surrounding Riverwood Station and Belmore Road. It is bordered by Josephine Street to the north, Salt Pan Creek to the west, Clarendon Road and Peakhurst Park to the south, and Talbot Street and Bonds Road to the east.
About the Riverwood Local Centre Master Plan
Using our community’s input, the Master Plan will guide future development to:
| Provide homes to suit different ages, lifestyles, affordability, and family sizes | |
| Help Riverwood grow as a vibrant centre with more employment opportunities | |
| Improve the safety, accessibility, inclusivity, and enjoyment of Riverwood’s public spaces | |
| Improve access to green space, including Salt Pan Creek, and increase tree cover | |
| Make it easier to walk, cycle and use public transport around Riverwood | |
| Support new development in Riverwood alongside appropriate civil and community infrastructure |

Come along to a workshop to talk about the future of Riverwood and help shape the Local Centre Master Plan. You are invited to share your vision and aspirations for Riverwood and how you would like to see Council plan for its future.
We will be hosting two workshops at the Riverwood & Punchbowl Anglican Church, 9 Littleton Street Riverwood, NSW 2209.
