Georges River Council plans to contribute $10 million over three years to rebuild the Carss Park Aquatic Facility, in partnership with the NSW Government.
The NSW Government will lead the business case and design phases. The Council will support them as the landowner and potential operator.
A funding cap of $17.5 million has been set. It covers past costs for demolition, remediation, and planning. Council remains dedicated to delivering this important community project while maintaining financial sustainability.
Upon receipt of the NSW Government Office of Sport, Business Case any social, economic, employment, financial and environmental impacts of the project will be updated on this page, or included in the February 2025 report to Council.
