Why is Council upgrading Quarry Reserve?
The Quarry Reserve Precinct Design is identified in Council's Capital Works Program.
The upgrade aims to renew the facilities and create a safer, more accessible and more flexible recreation space.
What new facilities are proposed?
The design includes upgraded tennis courts, pickleball courts, a new amenities building, accessible paths, formalised parking, seating, shelters, planting and drainage upgrades.
Will the playground be removed?
The small playground within the tennis court precinct is proposed to be removed. The playground near Hurstville Road will remain available for community use.
Will there be pickleball?
Yes. The concept design includes two dedicated pickleball courts and pickleball line marking on the tennis courts.
Will parking be improved?
Yes. The design proposes formalised parking, six car spaces and two accessible parking spaces.
Is the design final?
No. This is a concept design. Community feedback will help refine the final concept design before it is reported to Council.
