Why can’t Council keep both playspaces?
For this project, Council has resolved to plan for one upgraded playspace at Pole Depot Park. The aim is to create an upgraded and better-quality playspace, rather than spreading the available investment across two smaller spaces.
The proposal for one upgraded playspace follows Council decisions made in October 2025 and June 2026. These decisions asked Council to look at local demand, safety, play value, existing park amenities and the best way to renew play equipment at Pole Depot Park.
