Public Hearing - 30 September 2020


Planning Proposal 2017/003– Amendment to Hurstville Local Environmental Plan 2012 to reclassify Lot 2 DP 1200178 and Part Lot 1 DP 1200178 at Taylors Reserve, Lugarno from Community Land to Operational Land

In accordance with section 29(1) of the Local Government Act 1993, a Public Hearing into the proposed reclassification of Taylors Reserve, Lugarno (part Lot 1 and Lot 2 in DP 1200178) from Community land to Operational land was conducted.

The Public Hearing was held on Wednesday 30 September 2020 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Any person was welcome to attend the online public hearing meeting.


The Public Hearing was chaired by an independent person who considered all written and verbal submissions made during the Public Hearing and prepared a report for Council.

    Planning Proposal 2017/003– Amendment to Hurstville Local Environmental Plan 2012 to reclassify Lot 2 DP 1200178 and Part Lot 1 DP 1200178 at Taylors Reserve, Lugarno from Community Land to Operational Land

    Georges River Council is exhibiting a Planning Proposal to amend the Hurstville Local Environmental Plan 2012 (LEP 2012) to reclassify part Lot 1 and whole Lot 2 DP1200178 (part of land known as Taylors Reserve) from Community Land to Operational Land. The Planning Proposal applies to certain land located within Taylors Reserve located in the suburb of Lugarno, legally known as Lot 1 and Lot 2 DP 1200178.

    The intended outcome of the Planning Proposal is to enable the delivery of a public road along the informal access referred to as Taylor Avenue. Please note the planning and delivery of the road will be considered under a separate process.

    The Planning Proposal will be on public exhibition from 18 June to 7 August 2020.

    The closing date for submissions is 7 August 2020.

    Any submissions received are considered public, however, a person may request to have their personal details suppressed. If you make a submission and have made political donations or gifts, a statement must be completed.
