To make sure this new Plan is consistent with your needs and values, we want to hear from our residents, neighbours, park users, and the wider community on how they currently use Beverley Park (Golf Course) and how you would like to see the area managed and enjoyed in the future.
This could cover things such as what you like about the area, what works well, issues to address, what could be changed or improved, and what you would like to see occur in the future. The new Plan of Management will provide direction for matters such as:

| approved uses or activities, and hours of use |
| access, developments and facilities |
| stormwater management and environmental protection |
| leases and licences. |

Beverley Park (Golf Course) is a large area of open space – covering over 29 hectares – at the head of Kogarah Bay between the suburbs of Kogarah Bay, Beverley Park and Ramsgate. It is almost entirely occupied by the Beverley Park Golf Course and is surrounded by low density housing. The Park is a mix of Council-owned community land and Crown land (Crown Reserve No. 70596) for which Georges River Council is the appointed manager. Much of the area is land originally reclaimed from Kogarah Bay.
The Beverley Park Golf Course is an 18-hole (par 70) public golf course operating under a lease from Council (until the end of 2030). It is a typical suburban golf course – with largely flat open grassed fairways separated by stands of trees with course features such as bunkers, tees, greens, drainage lines and pathways.
It also includes site maintenance and operational facilities, as well as water storage tanks and on-course toilets. The Beverley Park Golf Club, in the Park’s north on Jubilee Avenue, includes a restaurant and function facilities, bar, deck, and gaming areas as well as a Golf pro shop and putting practice greens nearby.
A larger drainage line traverses the Park’s east/southeast, partly as a semi-natural drainage and partly channelised.
This is part of a larger stormwater management system in the Beverley Park catchment intended to mitigate flooding and improve water quality entering Kogarah Bay. Recent works include $1.3 million improvements to enhance this creekline and ponds on several of the course’s former holes, to address flooding issues impacting the area and potentially neighbouring properties.

Council has engaged Gondwana Consulting to support the community consultation process and assist in preparing the new Plan of Management for Beverley Park (Golf Course). We have developed a survey to explore the community’s views and insights regarding Beverley Park (Golf Course).

Next steps
The Draft Plan will then be placed on formal public exhibition, during which time the community will have a further opportunity to comment, and Council will consider this further feedback before adopting a final Plan of Management.
