Seasonal Allocations

Seasonal allocations are managed through an open Expression of Interest (EOI) process prior to the start of each summer and winter season. Clubs must also include any planned events (e.g. gala days, presentations) in their EOI submission. Allocations are non-exclusive and subject to availability, with shared use considered where practical.

Council may also issue pre-season allocations, rest periods, or closures based on field conditions and maintenance needs. All hirers are expected to comply with Council’s terms and conditions, including child safety obligations, respectful behaviour, and responsible asset use.

Council's New Survey

Georges River Council is committed to ensuring fair, transparent, and responsible access to its sports grounds. The Seasonal Hire Expression of Interest Form is a new part of the allocation process for clubs seeking to hire Council-managed sports fields for the upcoming season.

This survey helps Council understand the needs, operations, and community contributions of local sporting clubs. It supports the decision-making process outlined in the Sports Grounds Access Policy, which aims to balance growing demand for open space with the long-term sustainability of Council’s sports assets.

The policy prioritises equitable access, community benefit, and responsible use of sports grounds. It also recognises the importance of supporting underrepresented groups, promoting health and wellbeing, and maintaining high standards of governance and safety.
