Background

At the Council Meeting held on Monday, 22 April 2024 Council unanimously endorsed for the purposes of public exhibition the draft 2022-2026 Delivery Program, draft 2024/25 Operational Plan and the draft Resourcing Strategy.

Section 405 of the Local Government Act (1993) requires Council to adopt an Operational Plan before the beginning of each financial year outlining the activities to be undertaken that year as part of the Delivery Program. Council's Draft Delivery Program utilises the pillars of the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) as principal activities for the purpose of defining proposed actions over the next four years.

The Delivery Program and Operational Plan provides information on Council’s key services, projects, programs and budget for the next financial year, the third year of the 2022-2026 Delivery Program. It also includes a full list of all scheduled capital works and all proposed fees and charges. The Resourcing Strategy has also been updated to reflect the content of the 2024/25 Operational Plan.

The Draft Resourcing Strategy contains detailed plans for the funds, assets digital framework and people needed to implement the Delivery Program, and therefore contribute to achieving the goals in the CSP.

Please take some time to review the documents and provide Council with your comments to assist in planning for the next twelve months.

The draft Infrastructure Asset Management Policy sits alongside the Asset Management Strategy, within the Resourcing Strategy and sets the direction and foundation for Council’s management of assets.
