We're inviting our local community to mark a special person or event in their lives by planting a celebratory or commemorative tree. As part of our Celebratory and Commemorative Tree Giveaway initiative, you may be eligible to receive a free native tree to plant on your property.
A celebratory or commemorative tree is a tree that is planted to recognise someone special, like a family member or friend, or to remember an important event.
This will allow you to nurture and care for a tree in your garden, whilst also helping to increase tree canopy cover across our local area.
It also aligns with our long-term goal of maximising greening and bushland under our Green Environment priority area.
Trees not only contribute to our urban canopy, but also provide habitat for native wildlife, improve mental health and add to the neighbourhood amenity.
Celebrate someone or something meaningful in your life by joining our Celebratory and Commemorative Tree Giveaway. Check your eligibility and submit your application today to take part in this initiative. Start your applicationView our tree planting guide
