What celebratory or commemorative events are eligible?
Examples of eligible events under this program include, but are not limited to; Birthdays, Weddings, Graduations, Anniversaries, Birth of a Newborn, Passing of loved one etc.
Can someone else collect the tree on my behalf?
No, the name of the person who submits the application must collect the tree. Photo identification will need to be provided upon collection at the nursery.
When can I collect my tree?
Once your application has been approved, instruction on how to collect your tree will be provided.
Trees will be able to be collected by the resident 7 days per week from 8am to 5pm.
What species can I select?
A selection of native species will be available on collection at the local nursery.
Residents will be able to select their preferred species based on stock availability at time of collection.
The local nursery stocks natives tree species such Lilly Pillies, Banksias, Blueberry Ashes etc.
Where can I plant the tree?
The tree must only be planted on your private property with the owners or owners corporation approval. No planting is permitted on public land.
How will I be able to transport the tree upon collection from the nursery?
Each tree species will vary in height, however some may as tall as 1m in height within the 200mm pots.
Please ensure you have adequate space in your vehicle for transportation of the tree.
How do I plant and maintain the tree?

Can I get my tree replaced if it does not survive?
Unfortunately, the trees will not be replaced. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure the tree thrives. Please refer to Councils Planting Guide for care instructions.

How long will an application take to be assessed?
A review of an application will typically take between 1-4 weeks.
You will be notified via email by Council Staff with the outcome of the application.
