Your feedback has provided us with a user-verified baseline for us to improve and excel the platform. When we have more to share on these results, this page will be updated and we'll get back in touch with you.

Thank you again to everyone who contributed and we look forward to growing and improving the platform together.

What is Your Say?

A lot has changed in the last few years. Many of of us have adapted to online spaces, rebalanced our personal and professional lives while working from home, and now rely on our screens more than ever to share, relax, and connect - although looking at streetscapes of Venice on the TV will never quite compare to being there in person.

Your Say is our online engagement tool, and it has come to the foreground for many consultations over the lockdown period as our primary method of access and feedback. Now more than ever, we are inviting you to check in with us and tell us what you think of the platform, how you use it, and what you would like to see implemented moving forward.

If you are new to the platform, or just after a refresher, Your Say Georges River is a way for you to give feedback on consultations and Public Exhibitions, which contribute to Council’s decision-making on important projects that shape the future of the Georges River area.

What is Community Engagement?

Community engagement is the act of informing, consulting, involving, collaborating and empowering individuals and groups on relevant topics, issues or decisions that may affect their everyday lives. This might include issues specific to homes, businesses or neighbourhoods. This may involve sharing information using a variety of channels and seeking community feedback in person or online.

Why is Community Engagement Important

Community engagement is the foundation to good governance. It allows us to identify and address local ideas, concerns and opportunities by involving the public in relevant processes that affect them and their community. Community engagement does not replace the decision making functions of Council, rather it informs and guides it.

How to be involved

Community feedback is essential in helping guide us in our decision-making process. Your feedback will influence the choices we make when developing our plans and ensure we are on the right path to achieving and managing our community's overall vision. The Your Say Panel Survey for April 2022 is now closed and we are currently reviewing your feedback.
