Cultural Night Time Activation
Consultation has concluded
In light of the Covid-19 global pandemic, the total shutdown in our cities has allowed us the breathing space to reimagine a world post pandemic; what we want our town centers to look like and how we can make our spaces better, both from a social and economic perspective.
Here in Georges River, whilst not aspiring to a 24-hour economy (just yet), there is enormous potential to grow our night time offering and enjoy all the social, economic and cultural benefits it has to offer.
Council’s cultural facilities including Hurstville Museum & Gallery, Entertainment Centre and Council’s libraries are looking to gauge the community's appetite for regular night time visitation, with a view to potentially extending opening hours.
For the purpose of this survey, we are defining night time as between 5pm - 6am.
