Do you remember the Italian migrant hostel, Villa Fatima, in Hurstville?
The migrant hostel was run by the Capuchin Franciscan Friars and opened its doors in 1952, providing accommodation for Italian male migrants after their arrival in Sydney. The hostel was located at the former Woodleigh Private Hospital, at 67 Woniora Road, Hurstville.
Hurstville Museum & Gallery would like your help to collect stories and photographs about the Italian migrant hostel for an upcoming display. Contact us by 31 May 2020 to share your memories at museumgallery@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au or fill in the form below.
