The Tom Ugly's Point Reserve Upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to improve the reserve's environmental and community benefits. The upgrade forms part of Council's 2024/25 capital works program.

Update: February 2026

At its meeting on 23 February 2026, Council endorsed the appointment of a contractor to deliver the upgrade works at Tom Ugly’s Point Reserve.

This decision follows the earlier round of community consultation held in March 2025, as well as the finalisation of the detailed design for the reserve.

Construction of the new seawall is scheduled to commence shortly. We will notify our community ahead of works beginning to ensure residents and visitors are aware of any impacts during construction.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the consultation and helped shape the design of the upgraded reserve.
