The Tom Ugly's Point Reserve Upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to improve the reserve's environmental and community benefits. The upgrade forms part of Council's 2024/25 capital works program.


Changes and improvements

Our team has completed the concept design for the new seawall. This design includes:


New revetment and parapet wall

Expansion of the existing fishing platform

New intertidal rockpool habitats


Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the concept design and your use the area. Our team will review your submissions and provide an update with next steps shortly.

More about the reserve and project

Tom Ugly's Point Reserve is situated in Blakehurst, overlooking the Georges River and adjacent to Kogarah Bay and Kyle Bay. The reserve includes areas categorised as Natural Area – Bushland, Natural Area – Foreshore, and General Community Use

Consultation on the concept design will be open from 6 March to 21 March 2025.
