Consultation has concluded

Council is seeking community feedback on the draft Georges River Council Street Performance Policy.

The purpose of this Policy is to provide a framework that supports lively street culture, including artists and performers (mainly artists and performers) within the Georges River Council local government area (LGA), and monitors and mitigates any risks which could arise from street performance.

The policy will:

  • Encourage performances that enhance the vibrancy, vitality, and cultural expression of urban areas of the Georges River LGA; and
  • Ensure street performance activities are supported and managed whilst maintaining the well-being and safety of street performances, and the broader community.

The policy provides the conditions under which street performance is permitted in the LGA on community land such as parks, footpaths, closed roads and community property, controlled by Georges River Council.

You can view the draft Policy by selecting it from the right-hand panel under 'documents'.
