As a committee member, you will guide initiatives planned and delivered by Council, while representing the diverse voices and needs of older people across Georges River.

Who Can Join the Seniors Advisory Committee?

  • Age: 55+ years old (or 45+ years old if Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander)

  • Connection to the Georges River Council local area (live, work, or engage with services in the area)

  • Experience as a senior, carer, or working with senior populations

  • Represent a local aged care service or organisation that works with seniors


What Committee Members Do:

  • Advise Council on senior-related issues and priorities

  • Represent older people in the community

  • Participate in Council's decision-making processes

  • Help plan and deliver seniors events and initiatives

  • Attend regular committee meetings to discuss local concerns

  2. OR return a hard copy EOI form to any Georges River Council Civic Centre or Library
