Consultation has concluded

We are asking schools in the Oatley area to help us choose a name for a new playground in Oatley.

The winning school will receive a $1,000 voucher from QBD Books, Hurstville.

The playground will be part of a plan to create new public space in former Oatley Bowling Club, 35 River Road, Oatley.

What to do...

1. Choose names!

Ask your students to suggest name that relate to historically significant people, activities or industries – including Aboriginal history, heritage and culture. The names need to be unique – different to other names in Georges River and neighbouring areas.

2. Recommend Names!

Each school can recommend up to 3 names

3. Community feedback!

Council will check all the recommended names and ask the community for feedback. Get your school community involved – kids, parents, families, teachers can all cast their vote – the most popular name will be recommended to Council as the name of the new playground
