Playground Update

The playground upgrade is about to start and will see new playground equipment and landscaping within Oleander Reserve.

Work is expected to commence from late May and will be undertaken Monday to Friday between 7.00am to 6.00pm and on Saturdays between 8.00am and 1.00pm. It is expected to be completed late August 2023. During this time, the playground and surrounds will be closed to the public.

Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

Here is the artist impression of the completed project.

As part of our Infrastructure Program, we've scheduled the replacement of the existing playground within Oleander Reserve, Peakhurst.

It is anticipated the construction of the new playground will take approximately three to four weeks, during which time the playground area will be closed.

The works, which will see a new playground installed in approximately the same location as the old playground, will have minimal impact on the surrounding area. With the exception of some minor trimming of trees, no trees or vegetation will be removed as part of the playground upgrade.

Before works commence, we're seeking your feedback on what features you would like to see included in the park. At this stage, the proposed new playground will include:

New inclusive play equipment,
Rubber soft fall
Bench seating
A picnic shelter setting
Shade and connecting access paths.

How can I be involved?
