We are planning to build a new boardwalk within Morshead Drive Reserve in Hurstville Grove as part of the 2024/25 capital works program.

Commonly known as Oatley Memorial Boardwalk, this project will improve connections between local homes and important community facilities by rebuilding the accessway along Morshead Drive.

The first stage of the project is to create a concept design for a new, long-lasting boardwalk that meets the needs of the community. This concept design is now complete, and we are inviting our community to view the design and provide feedback.

More about the area and how to be involved

The Morehead Drive Boardwalk is currently closed. In April 2024, a structural engineer inspected the boardwalk and found safety concerns. Based on this advice, Council made the decision to close the boardwalk.

This boardwalk is part of a larger walking trail that links the Neverfail Bay foreshore with the Poulton Park mangroves.

Consultation on the concept design is open from 15 May to 1 June 2025.You can use our online form located on this page to begin sharing your feedback with us. You can also quote reference SF24/4798 and send your feedback to:
