Consultation has concluded

New Year? Yes please. 2022 is around the corner and we can look forward to reconnecting with our friends and family.

April is our opportunity to recognise and celebrate our younger generations during Youth Week. Georges River Council will be hosting our own Youth Festival and we want you to help us name the event!

We've got five names as narrowed down by our own Youth Advisory Committee, and we're looking to our community to choose the final title:

‘GRY’ Fest

Georges River Youth Festival – a festival built for young people, by young people.

Youth Able

Council respects the abilities of all young people and believes that local youth are capable of achieving anything.

Future is You(th)

Council acknowledges the valuable contribution that young people make, and that youth are the future of our local community.

Tucoerah Youth Festival

The Georges River, also known as Tucoerah River, is an important focal point for Aboriginal life and culture. Historically, the river was used as an important source of food and trading place by the custodians of our local area, the Biddegal people of the Eora Nation.

YouthScape

Acknowledging the beautiful landscape that Georges River has to offer, Council will deliver a youth festival that showcases our beautiful green spaces and the talents of local youth.
