Draft Library Use and Membership Policy
Update
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during our consultation period. The Library Use and Membership Policy has now been updated and is available on our Council website.

Our Libraries offer free membership and collaborative spaces to everyone in the community. They provide opportunities for people to come together and share access to diverse collections of books, magazines, online resources, digital technology, musical instruments, educational toys and much more.
We have revised the Library Use and Membership Policy. It is now easier for users to read and understand. The new version of the Policy keeps all current membership conditions. The Policy now aligns with the latest child safety, accessibility, and library guidelines.
Council encourages you to read the revised draft Policy. Please tell us if any sections are hard to understand. You can view the Policy by clicking here or using the document tab on this page.
You can provide feedback from 2 to 30 September 2024. Please use the form on this page to complete a submission. You can also email us or visit our libraries and Council service centres.
How to be involved
Community feedback is essential in helping guide us in our decision-making process. Your feedback will influence the choices we make when developing our plans and ensure we are on the right path to achieving and managing our community's overall vision. If you would like to provide feedback or comments on the Policy, we encourage you to complete our online feedback form or return a hard copy submission.
If you are returning a hard copy submission, please quote SF24/6560 Public Submission - Draft Library Use and Membership Policy at the beginning of your submission and return:
