Are you a creative practitioner with a passion for delivering workshops and projects for the community?

Georges River Libraries and Hurstville Museum & Gallery (HMG) are looking for skilled artists, creatives, and digital media production professionals to support the delivery of innovative programs and workshops. Our Learning Experience Facilitators collaborate with Library Programs and Cultural Services staff to periodically develop and deliver workshops to our community.

Our goal is to develop and deliver engaging and inclusive programs that offer relevant, accessible, and creative learning experiences for visitors to our libraries and the HMG.

The key objectives for facilitators are:

• to provide accessible opportunities for the diverse Georges River community to participate in life-long learning, skills development, and creative production.
• under the direction of the Coordinator Library Programs and Marketing and/or Coordinator Cultural Services, provide creative program delivery and operational support for community programs, major activations and projects supporting the delivery of services for the library and HMG.
• uphold the Georges River Council values and be sensitive to the Georges River Cultural Engagement and Library Services needs and vision

Skills

We are looking for suitably experienced individuals or organisations who can work collaboratively with Council, to facilitate a variety of learning experiences and have expertise in at least one of the following areas:

• Photography
• Writing
• Digital media production and post-production e.g. film making, digital music production, graphic design, web design, 3D design and animation
• Illustration
• Inter-disciplinary art forms (e.g. writing and sound, textiles and electronics)
• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) e.g robotics, electroinics and coding
• Painting, drawing or printmaking
• Hand crafts
