Overview
Are you a digital creative with a passion for delivering community workshops?
Georges River Libraries are looking for skilled artists, creatives, and digital media production professionals to support the delivery of innovative programs and workshops for the Media Lab, Sound Booth, and related special collections.
Our goal is to develop and deliver engaging and inclusive programs that offer relevant, accessible, and creative learning experiences for library users.
As a learning experience facilitator, you will:
support Georges River Libraries’ diverse communities to learn, create, and connect with opportunities to participate in life-long learning, skills development, and creative production.
provide creative program delivery and operational support for the Media Lab and Sound Booth and other library locations as required, in collaboration with our Library Programs Team
uphold Georges River Council’s values and be sensitive to Georges River Libraries’ needs and vision.
Skills
We are looking for suitably experienced individuals or organisations who can work collaboratively with the Library Programs Team to facilitate a variety of workshops and have expertise in at least one of the following areas:
Photography and videography
Digital media production and post-production e.g. film making, graphic design, web design, 3D design and animation
Adobe Creative Suite
3D Printing
Audio production including music, song writing and podcasting
Virtual reality and augmented reality
Inter-disciplinary art forms (e.g. writing and sound, textiles and electronics)
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) e.g robotics and coding, creative technologies
If you have skills in any of the above areas and are interested in joining our panel of Learning Experience Facilitators who develop and deliver ad hoc workshops at our libraries, Georges River Libraries want to hear from you!
