The Georges River Seniors Program hosts local seniors groups at Council venues.

The Seniors Program currently includes 22 community groups supporting seniors across Georges River, including exercise, arts and cultural groups.

If you have an existing group or are creating something new for local seniors and need a venue, you can submit an Expression of Interest to become part of our Seniors Program.

Eligibility criteria

Before you apply, make sure this program suits your group:

  • Group must focus on supporting local seniors
  • Group must be organised for by community for community
  • Activities must be free or low cost
  • Groups must follow Council’s terms and conditions for venue use


What it means to be part of the Seniors Program:

  • Free use of a community Council venue (subject to availability)
  • Council will promote your group
  • A representative from your group will attend quarterly Seniors Program meetings
  • The Seniors Program is reviewed annually to make sure the Program is meeting community needs

How to Express Your Interest

If you would like to join the Georges River Seniors Program, we encourage you to:

  1. Complete our online Expression of Interest form

  2. OR return a hard copy EOI form to any Georges River Council Civic Centre or Library
