We are looking for people from the disability community in Georges River to join our Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee.
What is the Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee?
The Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee is an advisory body that represents the interests of people with disability with connection to Georges River.
Who can join?
We are seeking people with lived experience, carers, and those working or volunteering with people who have:
- Physical disability
- Intellectual disability
- Neurodivergence
- Mental illness
- Dementia
- Are d/Deaf or hard of hearing
Membership will include, but is not limited to, people with disability, carers, representatives from local disability service providers, relevant government agencies, and Council staff.
We value the diverse identities within our community and welcome people who identify as:
- d/Deaf or hard of hearing
- a person with a disability
- LGBTQIA+
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
- Young people (18-25)
- Seniors (55+)
