Past Consultation
As part of Council’s review of it’s open space areas and recreational facilities through the Community Strategic Plan, and the Open space Recreation and Community Facilities Strategy, the local community and other recreational and community stakeholders have provided valuable input by way of a range of community engagement opportunities.
This recent input provides important background for the review of the Generic Plans of Management. Some key points from each area listed following

Community Strategic Plan consultation 2018 –
- preserve, maintain and enhance bushland reserves
- ensure development does not take priority over the natural environment
- focus on river health, and better manage storm water run-off to keep rubbish out of Georges River and its tributaries
- provide more facilities (tables, seating, playground equipment, etc) within parks and reserves
- have more off-leash dog parks
- provide more cycleways and better active connections.
