Gannons Park Water Quality Improvement and Stormwater Harvesting Scheme Stage 2
Works for Stage 2 of the Gannons Park Water Quality Improvement and Stormwater Harvesting Scheme will commence in late 2018.
The construction works will comprise of wetlands, bioretention systems, boardwalk extension, a new bush track, storage pond and associated creek works.
During the construction of Stage 2, a section of the shared path in Lower Gannons Park will be closed to the public. Lower Gannons Park will be accessible via Vale Lane on the east of the park. This also includes disabled access.

Council welcomes your feedback on Stage 2 which is currently in the detailed design phase. Feedback must be submitted to Council by 5.00pm Friday 1 June 2018 via email to mail@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au, by phoning 9330 6400 or online via https://yoursay.georgesriver.nsw.gov.au and clicking the ‘Gannons Park Water Quality Improvement and Stormwater Harvesting Scheme Stage 2’ tile.

Gannons Park Water Quality Improvement and Stormwater Harvesting Stage 2 has finished this stage
Community feedback was sought on the
works proposed for construction. The scope of works involved wetlands,
bio-retention systems, boardwalk extension, a new bush track, storage pond and
associated creek works.
Council took any feedback on board and
where possible resolved the issues directly with the concerned residents, most
of whom were in support of the scheme.
This consultation is now closed for contributions.

Tender for the construction phase of this
project has been awarded following the Council resolution of March 2019.
Construction
Gannons Park Water Quality Improvement and Stormwater Harvesting Stage 2 is currently at this stage
A start date of the construction works will
be determined in consultation with the successful contractor soon.
It is anticipated the construction will
take approximately 11 months (weather permitting).
