The Draft Sports Grounds Access Policy (Draft Policy) was developed to establish clear principles guiding Council's decision-making and management of sports fields.
The Draft Policy seeks to ensure both transparency and appropriate community access and utilisation of all grounds, except for Jubilee Stadium.
It has been developed in collaboration with local sporting groups and associations in Georges River, and we are now inviting our community to view the Draft Policy and provide feedback.
We would like to know if you found the Draft Policy clear and easy to understand, if there are any areas for improvements or inclusions, and any general feedback.
Key Objectives
The Draft Policy will apply to all sports fields owned or managed by Council, and will aim to:
optimise the use of Council sports fields
ensure equitable access
improve field bookings processes
promote participation in sports, health and wellbeing
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the consultation. Our project team will review your submissions and provide an update on next steps shortly.
Consultation on the Draft Policy will be open from 26 March to 23 April 2025.
