We are exhibiting our draft Council related Development Application Policy. This Policy has been developed due to recent changes to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.

These changes mandate that all councils in New South Wales develop and implement a policy to manage potential conflicts of interest related to council-related development proposals.

In response to this requirement, we have prepared a draft Policy in alignment with the guidelines established by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.

Key features of the draft Policy include:

Framework for management: outlines a comprehensive framework for identifying and managing potential conflicts of interest throughout the development process.

Enhanced transparency: aims to increase transparency at all stages of council-related development, ensuring that all stakeholders can trust the decision-making process.
The draft Council Related Development Application Policy is now on exhibition. You are invited to view the draft Policy and provide your feedback.
