    A Natural Playground for Oleander Reserve

    - Natural materials (timber, stone) to help tie the playground into its landscape - More planting and trees around the play area to complement the existing mature gum trees - Landscaping features to encourage free play and engagement with nature (e.g. log stepping stones, cubby house, obstacle course etc.) - The playground could be similar to Oatley Park, albeit on a smaller scale - This is another great example of a natural playground: https://waxdesign.com.au/projects/natures-playground/

    Since this is an inclusive playground, equipment in natural-looking materials, where possible.

    If a bike/scooter track is built, make it, where possible, as part of a footpath so that grassed area is maximised for improvised games.

    This is a small-park area so cannot include all good ideas suggested.

    Speaking tube for kids (maybe in teams) playing the grassed area around the playground; may be used by primary schools to teach about sound.

    Speaking tube: two cones connected by an underground pipe to transmit speech. Tube could have three or more connections so eavesdropping is a possible part of a game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speaking_tube
