Consultation has concluded

Outcome

At its meeting held on 28 November 2022, Georges River Council resolved to adopt the four Generic Plans of Management and Penshurst Park Plan of Management.

The Plans of Management are available on Council’s website.

Background

Council has prepared a Draft Plan of Management for Penshurst Park, Penshurst, and we're inviting you to provide your comments and feedback on what you think of the Plan.

A Plan of Management is a legal document that provides a clear set of guidelines for the short and long term management of a parcel of community land owned or managed by Council.

As a major sports facilities hub for the Georges River Local Government Area, Penshurst Park is covered by its own Plan of Management which was prepared in 2015. The Penshurst Plan of Management is required to be updated to meet Council’s obligations under the Crown Lands Management Act (CLM Act). As of July 2018, local councils that manage dedicated or reserved Crown Land are required to manage that land as if it were public land under the Local Government Act – including applying the plan of management requirements of that Act.

The Draft Plan of Management will be on public exhibition from 15 June to 5 August 2022

How to be involved
