Our Community Engagement Policy sets best practice for engaging with the community. It shows our commitment to transparency and inclusivity, and that decisions are made in the best interest of the public. It also provides a basis for our engagement framework, which explains how and when we will engage you.
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the exhibition period. The draft Policy was endorsed at the March 2025 Council Meeting. It is now available to view on our website. View the Policy
What changed.
Our draft Policy was endorsed for public exhibition at the 16 December 2024 Council meeting. It was exhibited from 18 December 2024 to 12 February 2025. The draft Policy included a number of small changes, including:
An update to the documents that relate to this Policy
An update to section 2, Principles
An update to section 4, Community Involvement, to clarify handling of submission information
The draft Policy was endorsed by Council at the March 2025 Council Meeting. It can now be accessed on our website.
