Composting and Worm Farming Workshops

Council will be offering fun and hands-on composting and worm farming workshops across the Georges River LGA in 2019. Details are as follows:

Over 50% of household rubbish can be composted. These workshops will encourage residents to view food waste produced at home as a resource as opposed to rubbish. By using a compost bin or worm farm, food waste is turned into a valuable soil conditioner that provides essential nutrients to gardens, all whilst diverting this waste from landfill and reducing methane gas emissions. Effectively, households will be closing the loop on food waste.

All residents are encouraged to attend. Residents who attend a workshop will receive a further 25% off their compost bin and worm farm purchases on www.compostrevolution.com.au/georgesriver (75% off RRP). Just remember to bring along proof of residence, such as a driver licence, to claim your discount voucher!

Workshops are not suitable for children under the age of 10.
