Update

This project is expected to be completed by June 2025.

Visit the Georges River Council's projects page to learn more.

Project overview

The existing Carss Bush Park Playspace is one of the most well-used playspace facilities within the Georges River Council LGA. As you may have noticed, some components of the existing playspace are requiring some attention to ensure a safe play environment.

This project will look at the detailed design and construction to expand the existing playspace to meet the regional significance of Carss Bush Park. This involves the investigation of existing site conditions and play infrastructure, the development of a design that meets community expectation and explores opportunities to improve the overall play experience. Construction will be multi-year and will involve improving site drainage, site connections and the installation of new play elements and supporting infrastructure (such as seating).

Consultation purpose

A design consultant is currently developing a concept for the future upgrade of this regionally significant playspace. To help us shape the future of the Carss Bush Park Playspace, we are asking the community about what they might like to see in the upgrade.

We're sure you've got some great ideas, and now it's your chance to tell us! This is a creative space where we invite you to leave your thoughts and comments on what you would like to see at Carss Bush Park Playspace.

How to be involved

Community feedback is essential in helping guide us in our decision-making process. Your feedback will assist us to inform the final concept design that will be released later this year, with an outcome that is unique to the site and reflective of the Georges River Council area.
