Update

Council has engaged a contractor to construct the new playground within Austin Avenue Reserve. The project includes the replacement of the aging equipment, within a similar footprint to the existing play space and to maximise play outcomes that better align to a local-level facility. Works are expected to commence May 2024.

The final design for this project can be viewed under the documents tab.

Background

As part of Councils Playground Program 2023/24, Austin Avenue Reserve has been identified for renewal. This project looks to upgrade the existing playspace to maximise play outcomes that better align to a local-level facility.

Council is seeking community feedback on how the existing facility is used and what new features would be enjoyed in the playspace. The feedback will guide the development of a concept design for construction this financial year.
