Consultation has concluded

The Community Development and Services Advisory Committee is designed to advise on matters relating to community capacity building, social inclusion and cultural development, monitor the changing needs of the community and provide recommendations on how Council is to address these needs.

Georges River Council welcomes suitable members of the Georges River Community to submit Expressions of Interest to join Council’s Community Development and Services Advisory Committee as a Community Representative.

Community Representatives
Three community representatives are being sought to join the Committee. Membership is voluntary, however, representatives are required to attend Committee meetings, which occur on the third Tuesday of every second month at Council’s Civic Centre in Hurstville.

Members are being sought in the following areas:

Representative of local community organisation – NGO sector

Representative of local community organisation – Health sector

Representative of local community organisation – Education sector

How to submit your Expression of Interest

Applicants are required to complete an expression of interest form to demonstrate their interest, education, knowledge, skills and expertise in the relevant industry area.

Application forms can be submitted:

  • by completing the application form below;
  • in person at Georges River Civic Centre, Cnr MacMahon and Dora Sts;
  • or posted to Georges River Council, PO Box 205, Hurstville NSW 1481 with subject reference “Expression of Interest – Georges River Council Community Development and Services Advisory Committee, Community Representative”.

Submissions close Friday 3 August 2018 at 2pm.
