Consultation has concluded

Council has prepared a Draft Code of Meeting Practice, and we're inviting you to provide your comments and feedback on what you think of the Code.

The Draft Code of Meeting Practice describes how all meetings of Council and Committees will be conducted, ensuring they are conducted in an orderly and fair way. The Code also aims to increase Council’s professionalism, transparency and accountability to the community.

Council is required to adopt a new Code of Meeting Practice within 12 months of the local government elections, incorporating mandatory provisions of the Model Code of Meeting Practice for Local Councils in NSW.

To view the Draft Code of Meeting Practice, please use the links provided on this page or visit us in person at the Georges River Council Civic Centre or Libraries.

The Draft Code of Meeting Practice will be on public exhibition from 28 June to 9 August 2022.
